Superstition Church in Arizona
We made a trip out to Canyon Lake in late summer and passed by this breathtaking scene outside of Goldfield, Arizona, near the Superstition Mountain Museum.
The sky was incredible and we just couldn’t stop snapping pictures. The shadows on the Superstition Mountains were haunting.

Since the chapel is near the Lost Dutchman Mine from the 1800s, I was hoping it would have some poetic history about miners and cowboy church or something like that.
Not so much.
Bull Run USA – Cave Creek, AZ
Adrenaline junkies from across the Southwest ventured to Cave Creek, Arizona this past weekend to test their speed and bull-dodging abilities in the Running of the Bulls USA, the fourth bull run in the states.
While the bulls weren’t quite the size you’d expect to see in Pamplona, they were good sports and showed the runners a good time.
Exploring Oracle, AZ
These photos are from Oracle, Arizona, a small mining town just north of Phoenix that dates back to the 1800s.
This abandoned barn was beautiful – the old wood, the way the fence had crumbled over time and weathered… so pretty!
