I’m in the process of of transforming my loft into a craft room, and have been collecting up baskets to store and organize everthing from my ribbons, thread and faric to markers, colored pencils and an abnormally large collection of different types of glue.

Mine currently looks nothing like this, but mine does have a TV in it, so take that, BHG! I’m making progress, however, and even figured out a way to set my sewing machine, laptop and Silhouette Cameo all up on the same table.
I stumbled onto this site called Cutie Pie today and if I could convert pounds to dollars in my head more quickly, I could have spent my paycheck on this all adorable stuff. Check out the necklace with the birds on the cherry blossom branch – so pretty! And I LOVE the bee ring.

My grandmother gave me my great grandmother’s iron skillet this Christmas, and I couldn’t wait to try it once I got home. I cleaned and reseasoned the iron skillet by smothering it in Crisco and baking it at 400 degrees for about an hour over a cookie sheet to catch the drippings.
I worked at Bandera while in college (famous for their delish cornbread), and I’ve been hooked on this recipe ever since. Worked like a charm!
